I could have been a professional student. So much do I love learning. Every year I watch the school curriculum dwindle with more cuts. I saw it when I was young. My mother had a grade six education, in a one room school house. Yet what she learned was equivalent to a university education, comparatively.
Then my turn came and with friends much older than I who explained what they were learning, I was filled with excitement, anticipation and yearning unending. Couldn’t wait! I’d be there soon. Alas most of what we had discussed was cut.
It became obvious that if I wanted to learn, it was incumbent upon me as an individual to pursue the process. In reality learning never stops and applies to every facet of life. Do we grab it and hold on excited at the possibilities and prospects learning offers us? Comprehending the vastness of our universe we choose one of many paths available. Whatever your passion is, open that door first, learn all there is to learn for life is indeed short. No time to waste.
