Tendrils of silken hair

As if from nowhere she’d appear

Tracing my face with fingertips

A gentle touch of her lips

Soothing comforting caring

Love and affection sharing

Nowhere I’d rather be

But beside her eagerly

A part of the love she offered

Sitting beside her in her rocker

This gentle tender soul so giving

Sharing insights about living

A life so full of all that could be

If only I took hold of opportunity

Always there supporting me never alone

Nothing ever for which to atone

I miss her gentle kind nature

Forever my muse my humble teacher

Of truth wisdom care and love

Remembering you I’ll never tire of

You should post more of your own stuff. This is heartfelt and touching. You have a nice, soft eye for the the right word and phrase. 🙂
    Kindness – Robert.

    • Awe, thank you. Most of the poetry I write is heartfelt and written within 5 minutes of seeing the word, it is just there lol. Thank you that is very kind and touches my heart 🙂 which is a side benefit to writing. Especially when it touches someone else it comes back 10 fold to me amazingly. Same as doing something special for someone and they appreciate it, then it comes back 10 fold. Not what you’d expect but it happens 🙂

Yes, I totally agree – kindness is returned in all sorts of unexpected ways. The world is good in that way.
And, really? Five minutes! Wow!! 🙂

      • Yep, mostly. 10 max… it’s a gift I guess. I didn’t know I could write poetry and it is not the accepted style…I can’t remember the name of it, someone told me once… I write what I feel…and to me, “style” as in stanzas and numbers of lines and all that “stuff” for lack of a better word (rubbish) um, lol, would interfere with the flow of thought for me anyway
