Reprieve
In this moment of reprieve
Time to catch up and to breath
Laughter humour jokes and fun
Blessed merriment in the sun
A breath of fresh air gives fleeting relief
From painful sorrow loss and grief
Strength to fortify and shore up
Sagging doubts, lift our heads up
Tomorrow is another day
In which to linger and to play

Imagine a world where we can achieve
All of the goals in which we believe
A world without strife
Where we celebrate life
Where there is no need for any reprieve.
