Blanket
A blanket of snow covers the land
Twinkling, sparkling, gloves in hand
We rush to greet pure white pristine snow
Our faces awash with expectant glow
Spring now upon us, buds so lush
Such delight awaits a painters brush
How entrancing are blossoms in bloom
Amid an ever-changing fragrant costume
A blanket of azure blue skies overhead
Whispers and promises of warm days ahead
Picnics, climbing, swimming and more
Oh how these changing blankets I adore
As blankets of orange, red and gold
A tale of upcoming winter foretold
Each resplendent with beauty and grace
Bringing warm smiles to everyone’s face.
So beautiful I would love to be there 😻

Lovely! You and I both had similar ideas, but I must say your execution was much more eloquent than mine! Mine was a bitter–it snowed this morning. It’s not supposed to snow on April 27th. It just isn’t. Yours reminded me that the buds are still there and that spring is beautiful in all its variations.

Awe, thank you, and sorry about the snow! I’m having problems finding yours. I have no idea why it isn’t showing up, but I’ve looked for days, and then go to your site but I can’t find it there either, it’s weird. Have had this issue with several others too. Communicating hasn’t been working either. It seems to sort itself out then returns to nothingness. I’ve tried contacting my friends (i.e.) you through other means and as long as I log in in one particular way, I can see you well talk at least lol. shrugs with annoyance. I’ll see if I can find yours, Sara, cause I love reading your work. It’s so beautiful.

I’ve noticed that too. It is weird. Maybe during those times they are updating?

They’ve changed the entire format of WP and in the process many are having difficulties. Hopefully they’ll fix the bugs sooner than later. xx fingers and toes.

I did change the color of my page. But I couldn’t tell you now how I did it! I’ll have to dig into it again and see. Might want a slightly different look. Not sure yet.

No worries, Sara, I’ll keep plugging away now I’ve found it. Just odd it won’t change. Perhaps because it’s not paid for the “free” version only allows so many. thank you very much though.

Interstingly and frustratingly, I am unable to see my own posts on Reader. Are you able to see yours?

No, I haven’t. do you think that’s part of the change you told me about? If so, that’s a sucky part of the change imho.

Yeah, I’m wondering. Cause I can’t see my posts, I wondered how anyone else could. lol

Sometimes when I do the daily prompt, mine doesn’t show up right away. That’s annoying.

Oh no! It’s too late isn’t it for a hint of snow???? Our flowers have begun blossoming and budding, but it’s rainy and damp as yet.

We actually had to look it up. Seems in the 40s it actually snowed in June, but last year it snowed at least once or twice late in the month.
