November notes Day 2  Details in the Fabric

Related imageRelated image

You hide behind a fabric mask, your identity unknown

The details in the fabric worn, covered by your cologne

The makeup you wear and the secrets of your heart

Remain forever hidden you keep yourself apart

Hiding every aspect of who you really are

Hoping no one notices how deeply are the scars

You think that no one else can see

The anguish deep within the fillagree

But the details are in the fabric

And eyes of wisdom as if by magic

See through the disguises that you wear

And look upon you with gentleness and care

Release the burden that was never yours

Seeking out instead a real friendship that endures

Since I can’t seem to figure it out, please read

cwaugh212’s comment below.  It is absolutely brilliant!

The masking of her deepest fears,
Has been in place for many years.
Put in place to hide the tears,
Welling up so no one hears,
The crying child who lives within,
That never had supporting kin,
That lived a life inside a shell,
Avoiding memories she can’t tell.
