My Seven Random Facts

  1. This is my first award!!!!!! 🙂
  2. I love plants and gardening, but I’m not that good at it. My favorite plant is my Polynesian Ivy that my husband got me as a surprise! Other than that I have Basil, Peppermint, Creeping Jenny, Oregano, a Rose plant, a Snake plant and The Mother of Thousands plant (aka the pregnant plant).
  3. My favorite genres of books are science fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, and young adult.
  4. I dream of becoming a published novelist.
  5. I love genealogy. There are several interesting people in my family tree I want to write about.
  6. I love animals! If I could take in every stray, and unwanted pet I came across I would.
  7. I am truly lucky to have a very supportive husband who puts up with my terrible housekeeping skills, and with all the time I spend blogging and writing.

The 10 Nominees, in no particular order

Thank you once again, for nominating me for this award, no less delightful for having received it a second time.

Unfortunately, I am only able to respond as is, since, my posts have disappeared, or are present in part.  I am unable to thank you personally for the award and as there were no other questions attached, I shall answer the ones posed to you, dear reader and forwarder of this delightful award.

  1.  This is the second time I’ve been nominated for this delightful award, and no less treasured for that.  It touches me deeply that you find something of interest or value in what I speak to.
  2.  I too love gardening.  I grew up with a massive garden, which as a youngster wasn’t as appreciated as it would have been as an adult, mostly because I lived in the Okanagan Valley, and there were plenty of grasshoppers that you fought off to get to the garden and I hated having to walk out there to it as they hopped and smacked me in the face and the rest of my body.  Basically, I ran like a bat out of hell to get there and back again.  Oh the memories. Yikes.
  3.  My favourite books are Mystery followed by Mystery/romance, and having read hundreds if not thousands of books as a teenager, had a plethora of historical and period books to read.  Today, I limit myself to the above two mentioned in particular.
  4.  I also would love to become a published, or at least recognized novelist.
  5.  I followed my ex’s geneology, which was fascinating.  An ancestor was knighted as the king had fallen off his horse and couldn’t get back on, and the “Armstrong” in question, lifted him with one arm back on the horse and was knighted on the spot.  My ancestory is far more difficult to follow as my grandmother is full blooded Cree and was taken from her home as a child. Some of those records have been lost.  I know some but not enough I’m afraid, in that regard.  Will definitely require more digging to find answers.
  6.  I love animals and over the years, my children brought many strays home.  We always had cats and or a dog or two along the way.  I shall be completely crushed the day my Porsche is no longer with us.  Although this latest move seems to have given him a new lease on life, as it has me.
  7.  I have been a single parent longer than I was married, and raising my children has been one of my singular pleasures in life.  I would do it all again, and change absolutely nothing for I have been truly blessed.

If you recognize the above questions, answered, please contact me so I can thank you personally for nominating me for this award.
